Built on service.

A complimentary visit to see the space properly, a design you approve before anything is built, straight answers along the way, and a room that is finished when we said it would be.

Tim’s story

Tim Metzer began his career in Atlanta, Georgia, before moving to North Carolina. He has worked in the trade since 1995: 31 years of designing and building rooms for wine, and of learning what makes one last.

In 2010, Wine Cellars of the Carolinas was founded by Tim and Kathy Metzer. From the first visit, the person who comes to your home is the person who designs the room, and who answers for it when it is finished.

Customer service is the priority. That means a complimentary visit to see the space properly, a design you approve before anything is built, straight answers along the way, and a room that is finished when we said it would be.

“I chose Tim at Wine Cellars of the Carolinas to renovate my existing wine room. Tim brought his substantial experience to the project to both design and reconstruct the beautiful wine room we enjoy today. Tim and his team provided new insulation, cooling, humidity control, and cabinetry. Along the way, Tim was always available, communicated directly, and employed a can-do attitude. Overall, our project was finished on time and on budget. We would definitely recommend Tim and his team and will use them again if needed.”
